My Christmas List

Oh this is my absolute favorite time of year!!!
I just wish it would slow down a little! The next 6 days will be here and gone before we know it.
I have been working a ton.
Leaving my Christmas tree on 24/7...I love the serenity a Christmas tree brings. There isn't one night that goes by that I don't sit down on the sofa and gaze at the tree.

I still have presents to wrap but my shopping is pretty much done.
I have Christmas music on Sirus or in the car ALL the time!
Of course 85% of the presents under the tree are for the little boy in my house!
Yes...he is getting everything on his Christmas list.
Yes..he still believes in Santa but is asking a lot of questions.
In return makes me feel like a horrible mother for intentionally lieing to my child to keep the magic in Christmas!

We went to Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie last night. It took us a total of 2 hours to get in and see the lights. We had a blast. It wasn't time wasted at all but time well spent. T took a hour nap. Matt and I got some quality time together. It is rare that we get a hour of uninterrupted time to talk. It's in those moments I fall in love with my husband all over again! We were all snug in our PJ's, windows down snuggled in blankets, in the front seat of Matt's truck with Bentley of course.
We made a quick stop for Hot Chocolate and Kettle corn to top it off.
Matt's on shift tonight.
So T and I hopped in the car and went looking at lights close to home.
We were gone for almost 2 hours.
I love getting to spend quality time with him!!!
He is amazing in every way!
I let him sit in the front seat in his car seat of course...shhhh don't tell Matt! I'll be in big trouble!
Sitting around talking to my parents this afternoon they asked me what I wanted for Christmas.
They and everyone else have been asking me this same question for the past month.
I haven't been able to answer it.
I finally realized all the things I want money can't buy!
Of course 1st on the list
-to add to our family
-good health for my mom
-relationships to be mended in Matt's family
-for T to love school again
Of course there are things that I wouldn't turn down...
-a new SUV
- Miss Me or Joe's jeans
-a bigger wedding ring
-running shoes
-Mac laptop
-$12,000 gift card to Dr.Kaufmann
-VS Pink sweats
-wood floors
-my dream home
You get my point right?
There are all things we want...that's just human.
I feel truely blessed with my life!
I have a husband who loves me and who I love more and more with each day.
A son who is amazing beyond words, makes me laugh everyday, can melt my heart with his contagious smile and zest for life.
The best parents I could ask for.
My family
My friends
So my plan is to take advantage of the next 6 days!
We are going to build a Ginger bread house, make sugar cookies with homemade icing, read all of our Christmas books, make reindeer food, spend time with loved ones, stay in our PJ's as much as we can, work as little as possible, wrap presents and remember the real reason for Christmas!

So Ralph Lauren and Gap called this morning...they want T to be their next model!
Okay..so maybe I'm kidding :) I totally think his qualified though!
I have always know T is adorable beyond words but looking at these pictures just confirms!
He is cuter than your average kid...that's just a mommy speaking!
So Ralph Lauren pick up that phone!

My charming family of 3
Of course there is more where this came from...but I'm saving them for our Christmas card!
Once those hit the mail I'll share them with you.
It is amazing!
Jennifer Matlock rocks my socks!
I love her work and all the heart and soul she puts in it!

Today's purchase...

A new Juicy bag for momma!
I'm rewarding myself for working non stop the last month!

Pants on the ground...Not in this house

Only my child would come out of his room looking like this!

And when I asked him why his shorts were like that. He said he was pretending to be black!
OMG!!! I just died out laughing! Where in the world does he come up with this stuff?!?!
I informed him very quickly that there would be NO pants on the ground in this house!
And to pull his pants up!

My boys love to shop....

at Academy!!

This was our 2nd shopping trip in one day.

The 1st time I went next door to the nail salon and got a pedi!

They are gearing up for their hunting trip this weekend after Thanksgiving!

Boys are going hunting...Momma's going shopping! Black Friday shopping that is!

Weekends...Why must they go so fast?!?!

This weekend was suppose to be Matt's weekend off from the Fire Department. So when he called Saturday morning to let me know he had to work mandatory overtime...I was really disappointed! Don't get me wrong the money is great but I would rather spend time with my hubby. As a fireman your shift falls once a month where you get Saturday and Sunday both off. So now I'll have to wait till November...boo!
To who ever called in on Saturday this wife doesn't appreciate it!
I am now done with my pity party! :)

Our Saturday turned out quite nice. Founder's Day was going on in Old Town Burleson. So Tristen, my mom and I decide to go check it out.
T had his face painted like a baseball since he had a game that afternoon. We ate some delicious BBQ. T got a handmade wooden bow and arrow. Then we donated to the police department so we could put a pie in one of the officers face. Looked at lots of little booths and finished it off jumping in a fire truck bounce house.

Then off to the game we went!

T played a great game! The warriors won 11-5. He got 2 really good hits and tagged someone out on 2nd. I spent the game loving on baby Brody. This was his 1st baseball game outing at 2 weeks old. If you can't tell he really loves his Aunt Amanda! He was sleeping so peacefully I didn't feel the need to pass him off to anyone else:)

Look at that sweet face!

I'll blog more on our Sunday adventure to Cabello's tomorrow!
It's back to sewing I go...

Life lately

Well it's been sometime since I've got to sit down and catch you up on life in the Moseley house. I can't believe it's been well over a month since I blogged last! But then again I can because it's been 2 since I sat down and balanced my checkbook! Yes...I just came to that realization on Friday. Shame on me! The truth is life lately has been quite busy.

Now that I'm the mother of a 1st grader...I also just added something to my job title...teacher! Whew...1 st grade is nothing like Kindergarten! Oh Kindergarten how I miss you. I miss the little things...one of them being sleep. This getting up at 5:30 a.m. every morning is getting old really fast. For the first week of school I got completely dressed make-up and all every morning. Lets just say that didn't last long. After a month into school I'm starting to get this down.

It goes a little like this:

Wake-up, brush teeth, work out clothes on, hair in pony tail and I'm ready to go.

Get T man up, fix breakfast, eat, remind him to brush his teeth at least 5 times, iron his clothes while he watches cartoons, remind him to get dressed at least 5 times...usually ending the situation with the same sentence every morning. "If you don't hurry and get your clothes on we"ll be late to school." Make his lunch, fix his hair and make a mad dash out the door by 7:55 .
Whew...that little routine can be a exhausting start to our day sometimes.
T is doing awesome in school and seems to really be loving it for the most part.
Baseball season is here and that takes up a lot of our time as well. Matt decided to coach T's team and is doing a amazing job! I don't say that just because he is my handsome husband. He is so good with the kids. They all just love Coach Matt.
SugarPlum had a booth at the JBF Sale at Will Roger's the 1st weekend of September. I have been working everyday since then. I wake up to more orders everyday! Thank you Jesus for blessing me! I'm working on lots of Fall and Halloween orders at the moment.
Our family has been blessed with a new addition. My Sister-in-law (Matt's sister-Melissa) gave birth to a sweet baby boy on September 25th. Baby Brody weighted 5lbs 14oz and had a head full of black hair.
My mom had a Hysterectomy just a few days before that. It was a very rough first week but she is doing much better now. I'm really enjoying her being home during this time. I would love for her to not work! I'm trying my best to convince her of this.
Lots more to come but for now at least you know were still alive over here! lol
Off to more sewing and enjoying this Monday off from school with my munchkin!

1st day of 1st Grade

was a success!!!

Daddy was on shift today but that didn't stop him from missing T's 1st day of school!
Don't worry there wasn't an emergency at school this morning...just T's daddy coming to see him off to class! The Fire Truck and all!

Hard at work already...they don't waste anytime!
A few of the adorable but very funny things T said today!
* Mom....your not waking me up this early everyday!
* Do we still have to tuck our shirts in when we go to college?
It's hard to believe my little boy is in 1st grade! I was totally missing him by 12. Not worry though...I spent half my day at the school. So just as I was starting to miss him I got to sneak a hug in. Boohoo breakfast was a success and so was cookies and milk. It was good to meet all the newbie parents today, welcome them to HCCA and let them know how much they are going to love it!
Now it's off to bed because we have to do this all over again tomorrow!! Oh sleeping in how I miss you already!!!

Birthday Boy..7 years

It's hard to believe my "baby" turned 7 on Thursday!
I couldn't be more proud of of him! I mean look at that gorgeous little face! He is so much more than I could have ever hoped for. We feel so blessed to have such a awesome kiddo. I just love his sweet spirt, zest for life and his contagious laugh.

We spent 4 out of the last 7 days at the lake house. One of those days being T's birthday.

What more could a 7 year old want than to fish all day.

As much as he loves the lake he couldn't wait to get back home. Only because he wanted to go to Target to get his ipod touch!

This is one excited little boy! A proud owner of his very own ipod touch!!!! Yea!!! Now we all finally get our iphones back!

A blogging kind of day!

So here it is into the wee hours of the morning and I still can't turn my mind off. After a day like yesterday..even though it in fact was today since I haven't been to bed yet. Ahhhhhhh!!!! Yes, it was one of those days.
Not sure I'm a fan of being blindsided. While working out at the gym I get a phone call letting me know I will no longer be working for Stork vision. That they no longer have the funds to pay me. I did all the marketing targeting OB offices. My salary there paid for T's tuition. It was something I could do from home and bring T along when needed.
So this left me all day pondering the thought of how I was going to make this up in other areas?!?! Since we start paying tuition in August.
I already stay up into the wee hours of the morning at least 3-4 times a week for Sugar Plum. So instead of saving that money for in vitro it will go to T's school. Which is totally fine with me. T's school if worth every penny we pay! Now Sugar Plum is a must not a maybe.
Just putting us further and further away from in vitro.
On days like this it makes just wanna give up on that dream! It makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs...knowing I have no control over carrying another child in my womb. It makes me want to punch my computer screen and throw my iPhone after reading another one of my face book friends is expecting. Or another unfit mother is pregnant yet again. Even though she can't keep a job to support the kid she already has. It makes me want to face plant the next person who tells me it will happen when the times right. Shut the F up!!!! This isn't your life or struggle. I don't want to hear about rainbows, butterflies and all other positive BS you have to say. Walk 3 1/2 years in my shoes. Wishing for something you wanted yesterday and everyday before that. Praying on days like this that God would take the desire of wanting more children away. So I don't have to fight back tears when the lady at the playground ask why we don't have more kids? Like that's a choice I've made!
Today I've cried more than I have in a long time. I've been mad the majority of the day and have said more choice words than I can count. That's the raw unedited truth.
So don't judge me when I tell you ...instead of buying 1 new pair of shoes for T for back to school. That I'll probably buy 3 or 4 tomorrow at Nordstroms. Since I only have 1 pair of feet to buy for he might as well have at least 4 choices. This is my way to deal with it....retail therapy. It doesn't heal the heart but it sure distracts it!

A Pirate's Life...Tristen's 7th Birthday Party

T had a wonderful time at his party!
