So do I really share these this week? Not sure! They are a little on the not perfect, probably not going to get mom or wife of the year anytime soon! But oh well here it goes.
There is no way we would end our Saturday night on the sofa as a family watching Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice . Yes...that does include T. See I told you I wasn't going for mom of the year with this one. I mean what kind of mother lets her kid watch these kind of shows. Oh it gets better! So we all end up falling asleep in the middle of Private Practice. I wake up in a dazed where am I state of mind. I get up and get T in bed. Head to my room and realize that I haven't put the clean sheets back on the bed. So currently there is a mattress protector and a comforter on the bed. Yes, I know that my clean sheets are just a few feet away on the chair. Oh do you think it crosses my mind to put those sheets on the bed?
Nope not once. I crawl in bed and pull the comforter up over me and within in seconds I'm out like a light.
I would never forget T's prescription at the pharmacy for over 2 weeks! And then blame the doctor for it...nope not me! See these doctor's offices are getting all technical these days. They are going wireless. So that means there is no longer a paper you take when you check out it's all in the computer. They don't give the little white prescription papers anymore. They send it directly to the pharmacy. Well you can't just change it up on me and expect for me to remember. Hello that's why I need that paper. So I see it sitting on my console as a little reminder to stop at Target.
Note: Thank you to all of you prescription abusers. They probable implemented this because of you. Why do you feel the need to copy and sign prescriptions for yourself. Thanks for taking away our little white reminders. Why can't you just exhibit some self control!
Last but not least...one of my finer moments!
As Easter was yesterday and we were in car headed to Nana & Papa's (my inlaws or Matt's parents)lakehouse. Matt was giving a little history lesson on Corrsicana. So in the middle of his lesson he stops and ask me if I know who Bonnie & Claude are. I say yes ...then he gives me this look and ask me who they are. I say "The Pool place!" Oh the look on his face was priceless! He busted out hysterically laughing. Okay so I live in Burleson and that was the first thing I though about. Yes, I did go to school and almost have a college degree. SO maybe the blonde is starting to get to me. My husband got the biggest kick out of it. He looks and me and says "No babe! The bank robbers!"
Mommy am I Fat?
T: Mom Am I F A T( yes he spelled it)?
Me: No hunny your very slim.
T: Mom when you get pregnant your gonna be F A T.
Me: Well that doesn't really count.
T: Every pregnant person is fat...it's okay. You'll just have a big belly.
Me: That's right you have to have room to grow a baby.
T: Mom remember that time you peed on that stick thing. You know it said you were pregnant. Then you went to the hospital. Do you think they still would have taken the baby out if they didn't take those tubes out too.
Me: Well hunny the baby was living in the tubes and it wasnt' in the right spot. See when you get pregnant the baby has to live in your belly for 9 months so it can grow. And It wouldn't have survived if they took it out...it was too little. You know like smaller than your finger nail.
T: Oh I see. So how are you gonna get pregnant again? Since there is no more of those tubes left.
Me: Well thats why mommy goes to see Dr.K.
T: I know that but how does he make a baby?
Me: Well it takes a mommy and a daddy to make a baby.
T: I know that but how does he do it?
Me: Well he takes a egg from mommy...kind of like a chicken egg. Then he takes a fish from daddy. Then he puts them both in a little dish. The fishy swims into the egg and it makes a baby. Then they put the baby in mommy's belly and it grows there for 9 months.
T: Oh I see. So do all babies cry when they come out?
M: Yes...thats how we know their lungs are working.
T: Oh
End of conversation!
Wow....I kinda just had the birds and the bee's talk with my 6 year old! The in vitro process sure does add a little more detail. He knows way more than we could even imagine! Smart little guy!
Not to mention he just said the most brilliant thing!
He is playing on my iphone while I blog. There is a app called The Moron Test. He has been in there playing it for quite a while. All the sudden he blurts out "Mom! I've been playing the Barack Obama game!" HAHAHA....yes my child is brilliant! And NO I have never called it that. Even a 6 year old knows what kind of trouble our country is in...or he just listens to his mom rant about it all the time!
Oh I love my kiddo!

Formal Introduction
It was a lovely visit! Matt and I are very excited to have Dr.K on our baby making team! Up untill this point Matt hasn't been very excited about this whole process for many reasons. So before our million dollar consult I prayed for several things....that Matt would hit it off and feel comfortable with Dr.K...that I would feel at peace with the whole process and once we had our consult Matt and I would be on the same page.
