Making a splash

We just returned home from a day at Bedford Splash with Crystal and the girls. I think today was the perfect day to go. It was a nice cloudy 88 degrees outside. Seriously...last week it was in the triple digits. Well that's Texas for you. I was a little disappointed I didn't get to wear my super sylish sun hat I bought at GAp this weekend but I'm sure it will get it's use the rest of the summer! Here are a few pictures I snapped today!!

Another fun summer day!!!!!!

Father's Day Weekend

So Father's Day is here and gone and yes I'm a week behind as usual...it's called have you meet my adorable son who never lets me sit down! Erin I swear I'll get better about blogging more. I have come to the conclusion that in order for that to happen I'm going to need a Apple Macbook pro...anyone want to donate one???? That way I could blog from anywhere....baseball camp, waterpark or my bed of course...because that is the only time I'm sitting down for longer that a few seconds.

SO back to Father's Day!! We celebrated Matt's Father's Day on Friday night since he had to work at the station on Sunday. We decided to go downtown for dinner and a visit to the Water Gardens. We even tried a new restraunt that we all loved! It's across from the Worthington...Cabo Grande! I highly recommend it! We orginally put our name on the list at Razzos ....which had a very long wait. So we decided to walk around to kill some time. That's when we found Cabo Grande and Matt changed his mind. So I'm sure an hour later at Razzos they were calling Moseley party of 3....haha...to late. So by that time we had already eaten and were on our way to the water gardens. It was a pretty good walk to get there and we had to make a quick stop at the Hilton for a potty break. I didn't think it would look to good taking Tristen into the Library for a bathroom break. lol.. Tristen loved it and Matt and I really enjoyed seeing Tristen's excitment everytime he discovered something new. He really wanted to go swimming in the water pools and was a little disappointed he couldn't. We had a great night overall!!! I love spending time with my boys. I love Matt dearly and he is a great father to our sweet little boy!

He wouldn't give me a kiss...little stinker!

Cheers

Matt got a grile for his truck for Father's Day!

On a side note: Always ask how much it cost to park before you park your car!!!! Matt was a little irratated I paid $12 to park...we could have valet for less than that! And yes I know you can park in the garages for free on the weekends but I don't do elevators! SO there is no price great enough for me to avoid an elevator!!

Saturday= Father's Day with Papa

We celebrated Papa's Father's Day on Saturday since Matt's was working on Sunday of course. We started our day by going to Academy to pick out the perfect fishing reel holders for Papa's new boat!! Which we are all so excited about!! Tristen also picked Papa out a new lure...geez those can get expensive. Watch out Nana fishing is going to be another one of Papa's exspensive hobbies :) After we found everything we needed we headed over to Papa and Nana's. We had a very relaxing day. It's not often we get Papa and Nana all to ourself but it was really nice!!! We had a yummy dinner that Nana made and just hung out on the back porch.

Sunday= Father's Day with Granddaddy

Well I wasn't expecting to spend Father's Day with my dad because my parents had planned a weekend get away in the Hill Country. I was pretty sad Tristen and I were going to spend Father's Day alone. So my dad must have sensed my disappointment . THey decided to come home a day early!!! So my brother and I took him to Pappadeaux for dinner. It was so yummy!! I am still a daddy's girl at heart and will be forever!! I love my dad dearly and can't imagine life without him!!!

I thought this was the coolest thing! They had sidewalk chalk, bubbles, sandbox(not really that crazy about but T was of course) and coloring books for the kids while you waited. All restraunts please take notice in put in effect immediatly!!! You would have more buisness and not so many screaming children.

Snaggle Tooth

Well it's happened!!!! Tristen has lost his first tooth! I knew this day would be coming I just wasn't ready for it. It is so crazy how a tooth falling out makes him seem so much more grown up. It changed his whole look. I'm starting to realize he's not my baby anymore...and that's really hard for me. I have to admit I did cry over this. I think it was a mixture of him growing up and also having this huge whole in his teeth. I know that is a little vain but I really wasn't looking forward to the snaggle tooth days. He had the perfect little teeth and now with one tooth missing it changes everything:) In my book...he is still the cutest little boy I've ever seen!!!! He cracks me up because he is constantly starring at himself in the mirror. He thinks he is just too cool because he is missing a tooth and can't wait for his other teeth to fall out!!! It won't be long either! All of the sudden both bottom teeth are loose to. I'm actually really surprised we made it this far. When Tristen fell back in January and hit his two front teeth in the bathroom I knew it wouldn't be long. The denist told us that his teeth had trama to them and they would probably be coming out in about 6 months. So exactly 6 months later and a little wrestling with his Uncle Jon Jon...we have a snaggle tooth on our hands. Did I mention we had to call everyone we know ( not really but close)? Rylee was first on the list! Ever since Rylee starting losing her teeth Tristen has been anxiously waiting his turn. She was so sweet and very excited for him! Then it came time for the tooth fairy. OH my!!!! He was in bed a hour before his normal bedtime because he was so excited!!!

Putting his tooth under his pillow.

Then he woke us up in the middle of the night to show and tell us that the Tooth Fairy had came!

I liked to have a talk with who ever came up with the Tooth Fairy! It isn't a very bright idea to put the tooth under the pillow. Seriously do you know how hard it is to get a tooth out from under a pillow without waking your sleeping angel. And then have to move their head again to stuff money under there. Wheeewww...I should get a Academy award for that! It's a lot harder than it looks :) It was a success though!!

As Tristen say's " Mom I'll be your baby for a long time!! See all these baby teeth I have left".

Are we there yet?????

Well I can't actually tell you how many times i've heard that in the car, but lets just say ENOUGH! As most of you know we went on a quick road trip to Clovis, New Mexico. We were there and back in less than 72 hours. Our purpose for such a short in time... long in drive trip..well to take GeeGee to see her sisters and drop her off to stay a few weeks. So Tristen, Bentley (of course) and I went along for the ride so my mom wouldn't have to drive back by herself. As usual we had a blast. We left early Sunday morning or should I say we were suppose to leave early, but we were traveling with my mother...if you know what I mean! haha. Finally getting on the road at about 9 am after picking up GeeGee and a trip through the Starbucks drive thru. We headed down 20 with no problems and just a few "Are we there yet" for the next couple of hours. At this point I was starving as I'm always hungary! So I get out my iphone...okay okay (Yes I had been on it the whole time) and look for places to eat in Abilene. I find the perfect place!!! Abuelo's...my favorite!!!! So with a few wrong turns and stopping for directions we finally get there. The only problem...it's 100 outside and my sweet very spoiled yorkie can't stay in the car. So the only option... take him inside! So Bentley joined us for lunch! I was successful in smuggling him in ..in my handbag. He was perfect and slept on my lap under the table the whole time.

So now our tummies were happy and we were back on the road for 5 more hours with lots of "Are we there yet'". Let's just say 5 very longgggg hours! Finally arriving at our destination at about 6pm. We were welcomed with a very yummy spagettii dinner and lots hugs. I forgot to mention that it was also GeeGee's 73rd birthday...June 14th! So we had a little party for her after dinner with cake and ice cream. We spent the rest of our time there swimming, relaxing and catching up with our family who we don't get to see near enough.

We had a great time!!! It ended all to soon. Tristen had a really hard time leaving GeeGee there and cried for about a good hour! We had a long but safe trip home! I have seen my share of McDonalds, wind turbens (not the correct spelling...I never said I'm a genius) and flat land for a while. I am a little disappointed that my camera battery only last a few pictures and then died. Overall Tristen did awesome!!!!!! He is a great traveler!!

It will never be the same again!

So lets start off with I'm way over due for blogging...actually about 2 weeks behind. The problem isn't that I haven't had anything to blog about...it's that I have so much to blog and not enough time to do it. I think this is acutally the first time I've sat down at my computer in a week and not just payed bills. Thank God for the iphone I have no idea what I would do without it.! It lets me do all the necessary things like check and update my Facebook and check my emails. Haha! I know what your thinking. That's the reason I love it because I can do it waiting in line at the grocery store , while I'm getting my nails done or waiting to pick Tristen up from camp (I'll talk more about that later). Well summer is in full swing around here. So that means my little man graduated Pre-k...yes I can't believe it! I know it's been over 2 weeks since this took place but I have to share.

It happened so fast. How is it that my baby is going to be in Kindergarten next year! Really that's just not possible. I mean I'm still 20 how can I have a Kindergartener. Okay so I'm not 20 but I do still feel it. I can't believe we have already finished a year at Holy Cross. It has been the best experience all around. He had the most amazing teacher's this year. Mrs.Brannon and Mrs.Thomas were both great blessings to Tristen and our family. I absoultly loved his Pre-K promotion that they put on. All the kids sang and danced and put on a great show! I'm amazed at how much he has learned over the year. Here are just a few things they accomplished...they can count to 40 and above, know their days of the week and months of the year, recognize all the letters and write them in uppercase and lowecase, recognize and write numbers 1 -20, sound out 3 letter words, and so much more that I would be at this computer all night! All of the kids got certificates for completing Pre-k. Then Mrs.Brannon went on to make all the parents cry. She talked about all the kids and what she is going to miss about each of them. She said she is going to miss "Little Man" running throught the door each morning and giving her a hug with so much love it literally almost knocks you over. Gosh I just love her!! Well after all the tears we had a awesome reception I must say myself...since I put it on. On a side note..Let me just say Room mom is way more than you can ever imagine, but of course I'll do it again next year! We had punch, cupcakes, cheese and crackers, cucumber sandwiches and a yummy fruit tray. I do have to say I was very disappointed in the balloon tree I got at Party Warehouse for the table. It would even stand up. Hello arent those things suppose to have helium in them. Well so much for my $12 laying on it's side balloon tree...the party was still a hit!

Tristen's getting his certificate!

My sweet boy!!!

After we couldnt' stuff are faces anymore we gave Mrs. Brannon and Mrs.Thomas their end of the school year gift. I had all the students give money and I made them each a bench...please see picture below.

Also we had each child and their parent write a letter to give to them. We just wanted to make sure they knew how much we appreciated and loved them.

This was a really emotional day for me...as my friend Sarah would say "I don't know if I'm crying because he's going to be in Kindergarten or if it's because I have to spend the next 12 weeks with him." lol

On to the next chapter...Kindergarten here we come!!! It will never be the same again!!!
