Fast and Fabulous

The weekend went by so fast! It was absolutely fabulous though.
We started our Friday night off over at Coty & Sie's (Matt's brother's house). There is nothing like a nice relaxing evening with family. The kids played, swam, played and played some more. Sie and I made a trip to Target to gear up for our Saturday filled with baseball/soccer games. We ate some yummy fajitas and I worked on burp cloths/onesie's!
Matt had to work Saturday and Sunday this weekend...Boo!!! T and I missed him terribly but made the most of it. We started out our morning at 7:30am...bootcamp was calling my name. After bootcamp we did the usual Starbucks stop...enjoying time with my mom and the breezy patio. T had his last 2 t-ball games on Saturday. So we played ball at 12..yes it included lots of yelling on my part. I do tend to get a little rowdy sometimes. Then we enjoyed Sushi with my parents @ Taste of Asia in between games. Then it was back to the ball field for another game at 4:15. T played 2 really great games!!!
We spent the rest of the day with my parents...going to Sam's, Costco and back to Sam's. We buy the majority of our produce there. Then it was back to the parents house to relax. We made carrot apple celery drinks. Yes..if you didn't know you know now I'm a bit of a health nut. My parents are really into the juicing and it's actually really good! I ended my Saturday night with some girl time. My best friend Kelly came over to stay the night since Matt was away. We stayed up till 4 in the morning. We did lots of catching up and I did lots of sewing.
This morning we slept in and skipped church. After a day like Saturday we needed to catch up on our sleep. Not to mention that TJ Max had it's Grand Opening today in B Town. There was no way I was missing that! So after dreaming about TJ Max all night long. We got up and headed that way. Yes...there is probably something wrong with me if I dream about shopping. What can I say retail therapy is soooo good for you! OHHHH it was wonderful. The place was packed! I mean packed like it was the day after Thanksgiving packed. T and I did run into my super sweet girlfriend Sarah. As we had been talking about this all week long. After our short little shopping trip we headed to the ball fields.Today was also Parade of Champions. This is were all the teams get their trophies. Boy oh boy was it hot out there! The sun was just beating down. I'm so not ready for this 90 + weather!
We came home changed clothes and headed to Fort Worth for some yummy Mexican food! Dos Gringos it was! Then to the mall we were on the search for swim trunks! No suck luck! Ralph Lauren and Gap you have failed me this season! Sooo disappointed in the selection. Why oh why is it so hard to find some descent swim trunks?! We left the mall empty handed. Yep that doesn't happen very often...it was a sad day.
After all that shopping I promised T I would take him to Main Event for a date. So we did just that. Oh how I love to spend quality time with my little man!!!!! He has to be the most handsome and charming little boy I've ever laid eyes on. We played a mean game of laser tag and lots of arcade games. He was one happy boy! Nothing better than one on one time with mommy and a handful of prizes!!

I would never start my Monday off by sleeping in till 10 am. When T was a baby everyone use to say sleep when he sleeps. So who cares if he is 6 ...that still counts right?!
I wouldn't admit that I've been using body wash as my shaving cream for the past week. For some crazy reason I can't remember shaving cream at the store to save my life. Not that I haven't been to Target everyday either.

I checked the mail this week to find a red light ticket eagerly awaiting me. I thought to myself the moment I saw it "Oh my Matt is going to kill me!" See a few weeks ago Matt was lecturing my driving. I didn't come to a complete stop when turning right on red. He told me I would be getting a ticket in the mail! I told him I hardly ever come to a complete stop before turning right on red. And I would certainly not be getting a ticket for that. So when I saw that envelope I was sick. Before I opened it...I would never say a hopeful little prayer that it would be Matt's ticket. No not me. I would never wish that for my darling husband! When I opened it up to my surprise it was Matt's truck. I would certainly not squeal with joy that I hadn't been caught!
For the record I would never get a pedicure right before T's Mother's Day picnic. Then proceed to wear those tacky little slippers they give you. The chance of messing up my toes would just be too great!

Random Thoughts:

I think that people who use their Facebook status as a way of communication are cowards! I think if you have something to say be big enough to say it. See that's the difference between me and you(facebook cowards). If I have something to say...I say it! I'm sorry you don't like it but I didn't ask you if you liked it did I?! No...didn't think so. Did I mention that your putting your nose in something that's not your business anyways. That I'm a 27 year old woman...what I say, think or do isn't your business! I'm just saying!! The next time you wanna play super women and hide behind your facebook status try picking up the phone. Your computer doesn't talk back but I do.

The Joy's of Fundraisers

My little guy got to go on his 1st Limo ride today and boy was he excited!

HCCA did a cookie dough fundraiser a few weeks ago. If you sold at least 15 boxes you got to go to Cici's pizza for lunch in a limo. So of course we had to sell our 15! I told told T right away that I would not be selling the cookie dough for him. That if he wanted the limo ride he would have to go ask our neighbors, friends and family. So I gave him the run down on what he should say when asking people to buy. Oh gosh....he is just the cutest! Everyone was so impressed that he knew all the details and just couldn't resist his adorable little face! He sold 14 leaving mommy to only have to buy 1.

Now the fun part...we have to go deliver it all!

Monday, May 3, 2010

Wow! It's Monday already. Last week just flew by...I can hardly believe it's May.

Summer is just around the corner that means lots of dresses and lots of baseball. Which brings this weeks Not Me Monday.

As you all know T plays baseball. And with that comes lots of practice and games. Since Matt is one of the coaches he most always takes T to practice. Well Thursday Matt was on shift and T had ball practice @6. You see normally this wouldn't be a big deal but on Thursday nights I have boot camp. Summer and bathing suit season is literally knocking on the door. So there is no way I would be selfish enough and actually admit it either! I wouldn't take T to practice for only 30 mins. You know so I could leave and go workout. No not me!

Okay...lets get back to the dress part of this. I absolutely love this time of year. The weather is near perfect. It's warm enough to wear shorts/dresses but your not dieing of a heat stroke yet. So yesterday being Sunday I wore a long dress to church. Not one of those long like Amish dresses but one of those cute t-shirt dresses from Target...okay actually my sister-in-laws closet. So after church we go to El Arroyo for lunch. In the mist of us eating T needs to use the bathroom. So we make a quick trip. As he is doing his business I look in the mirror with horror. OMG!!!! I have pantie lines! So what do I do? I go into the stall take those suckers off and stuff them in my handbag. I would never go back to the table finish my lunch and pretend that never happened! Nope not me!

So what did you do this week that you would never admit to?!?!
